This Was the EQUILIB ~ ARTE Event
On November 24th, 2024, La Vieja Cigarra experienced an unforgettable day with the birth of EQUILIB ~ ARTE, an event created from the heart by a passionate team who dreamed of uniting well-being, creativity, and community in one shared space — and they succeeded.
Our cortijo, nestled in the calm of the Cordoban countryside, was filled with positive energy, art in motion, and shared emotions. EQUILIB ~ ARTE was not just a proposal — it was a collective experience, a celebration of what truly matters, a transformative journey.
A Gathering with Purpose
From its inception, the event was designed to offer much more than individual activities. We wanted to create an atmosphere where each person could find a space for expression, rest, inspiration, or simply presence.
The day began with a warm welcome, followed by group connection dynamics. There were mindful outdoor yoga sessions, guided meditations among trees, intuitive art workshops, live music, performance art, and spaces for contemplation and silence.
Every corner of the cortijo was thoughtfully curated to stir the senses: rugs laid out in the fields, hanging fabrics, soothing scents, and soft lights at sunset. The intention was clear — to create an experience that felt magical yet deeply human.
Art + Well-being: A Natural Alliance
A key pillar of EQUILIB ~ ARTE was the fusion of wellness practices and artistic expression — not as separate disciplines, but as interconnected languages that nourish one another.
One of the most powerful moments of the day was a free-painting session accompanied by a quartet of singing bowls and live vocals. The emotion on people’s faces, hands covered in color, the respectful silence of others… all revealed something profound: art as a vehicle for healing, as a mirror of the soul.
There were also moments of spontaneous performance, sharing circles, and a ritual closing under the crescent moon — with candles, chants, and a shared sense of gratitude.

For those who already know La Vieja Cigarra, it’s no surprise that such gatherings flourish here. Our cortijo is not just a beautiful location — it’s a living project, open to ideas that celebrate awareness, respect for the earth, creativity, and mutual care.
EQUILIB ~ ARTE was undoubtedly one of the most special events we’ve ever hosted. It confirmed something we’ve long believed: when something is created with soul, people feel it, cherish it, and carry it forward.
